Serious rally fans will remember that once upon a time the car of choice in the World Rally Championship (WRC) was the Lancia Delta Integrale.
The Delta S4 was one of the more successful Group B cars and for several years following the demise of that class and before the World Rally Car, various iterations of the Delta Integrale tore up the special stages. The first generation Delta road car lasted from 1979-94 and the second generation model hung on until 1999 before being discontinued.
In 2006, Lancia unveiled a new Delta HPE Concept at the Venice Film Festival and it now looks like a new production Delta will be rolled out next March in Geneva. The car will carry 120 HP and 200 HP engines.
