Cadillac Reveals First-Ever CT4-V and CT5-V
The first-ever 2020 CT4-V and CT5-V are driven by Cadillac’s latest turbocharging technology and build on more than 15 years of performance credentials.

Driven by Cadillac’s latest turbocharging technology and building on more than 15 years of performance credentials, the first-ever 2020 CT4-V and CT5-V were unveiled today, expanding choices for the brand’s V-Series performance sub-brand.

Following the 2019 CT6-V, they grow the V-Series family with even more levels of performance, while preserving the lineage established by the original V-Series lineup introduced in 2004.

“The new V-Series sedan lineup defines modern sophistication by combining luxury appointments with thoughtful technology and athletic refinement for the discerning enthusiast,” said Brandon Vivian, Cadillac executive chief engineer. “We are inviting even more customers into the V-Series family by adding a new level of elevated performance between our Sport models and the ultimate, high-performance track capability that the V-Series has grown to represent.”

Cadillac Reveals First-Ever CT4-V and CT5-V
The first-ever 2020 CT4-V and CT5-V, along with the 2019 CT6-V, grow the V-Series family with even more levels of performance while preserving the lineage established by the original V-Series lineup introduced in 2004.

The first-ever CT4 and recently introduced CT5 represent Cadillac’s realigned sedan portfolio, characterized by new proportions, innovative technologies and more appearance and performance choices. Each is built on Cadillac’s award-winning rear-wheel-drive Alpha architecture, with the V-Series models developed to deliver the ultimate blend of performance, presence and road-going refinement.

Both share the latest standard V-Series performance technologies, including Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, which is tuned specifically for V models to enhance comfort without sacrificing performance-oriented responsiveness, and drive modes that include new V-Mode personalization. Each model is available in RWD or AWD and features a 10-speed automatic transmission, Brembo front brakes with eBoost electronic assist and a limited-slip rear differential on CT4-V and electronic limited-slip differential on CT5-V.

Cadillac’s exclusive Super Cruise1, the first true hands-free driver assistance feature for the freeway, is available on more than 130,000 miles of limited-access freeways in the U.S. and Canada. It will be available on both new V-Series models.

“The new lineup expands the V-Series ethos, drawing more customers into the Cadillac Performance family, and the newest Vs are focused on elevated athleticism and luxurious refinement for customers wanting a dynamic daily drive,” said Mark Reuss, GM president. “And this is only the beginning of the V family. Cadillac’s passion for performance shines on a racetrack. Stay tuned.”

Cadillac DPi-V.R race car

Cadillac DPi-V.R race car

Cadillac DPi-V.R race car

Cadillac revealed the all-new 2017 Cadillac DPi-V.R race car today and announced that it will compete in the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship series, Prototype (P) class.

The 2017 Cadillac DPi-V.R will first be driven competitively at the 2017 IMSA season opener — the Rolex 24 At Daytona on Jan. 28-29, 2017 — by teams from Wayne Taylor Racing and Action Express Racing.

the pinnacle of prototype racing in North america
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship series is the fastest and most technologically advanced sports car racing series in North America.

“Cadillac is proud to return to the pinnacle of prototype racing in North America after a 14-year absence,” said Johan de Nysschen, president of Cadillac. “Cadillac’s V-Performance production models — the ATS-V and CTS-V — are transforming our brand’s product substance, earning a place among the world’s elite high performance marques. The Cadillac DPi-V.R further strengthens our V-Performance portfolio, placing Cadillac into the highest series of sports car racing in North America.”

unmistakable cadillac presence
The all-new Cadillac DPi-V.R has been designed to contribute to the functional performance of the prototype using elements gleaned from the current lineup of Cadillac V-Performance models, especially the CTS-V supersedan. Above all, the DPi-V.R was developed to perform, via testing in the wind tunnel and engineering development.

“The DPi-V.R race car was an exciting new canvas for the Cadillac design and sculpting team,” said Andrew Smith, Global Cadillac Design executive director. “The studio embraced the opportunity to interpret the Cadillac form language, line work and graphic signature for this premier prototype racing application. Every detail of the final design was selected to support the car’s on-track performance and unmistakable Cadillac presence.”

The design details giving the DPi-V.R car its distinctive Cadillac appearance and presence include the vertical lighting signature; the sheer, sculptural quality of the body and bold bodyside feature line; V-Performance wheels with Brembo brakes; V-Performance emblems; and a canopy graphic inspired by the Cadillac daylight opening. Even subtle cues such as the cooling vents and the air intake were designed in the studio, the latter in the trapezoidal shape of the Cadillac crest.

The DPi-V.R is equipped with the new Rear Camera Mirror first seen on the Cadillac CT6 Sedan and available on the Cadillac CTS, XT5 and Escalade for the 2017 model year.

Cadillac 6.2L v-8 power
The Cadillac DPi-V.R is propelled by a race-prepared, normally aspirated Cadillac 6.2 liter V-8 engine that shares inherent architecture with the engines of the third-generation Cadillac CTS-V (640 horsepower) and fifth-generation Cadillac Escalade (420 horsepower). The engine produces approximately 600 horsepower when tuned for racing as defined by IMSA-mandated air restrictors, with a maximum allowable RPM of 7,600. The engine transfers power to the rear wheels through an X-TRAC paddle-shift transmission.

Cadillac and its designers collaborated with key partners including chassis builder Dallara, teams from Wayne Taylor Racing and Action Express Racing and ECR Engines to prepare the 6.2-liter V-8-powered Cadillac DPi-V.R over the past year.

Cadillac Partners With Blade To Launch “cadillac Fly And Drive” For Summer 2017

CADILLAC PARTNERS WITH BLADE TO LAUNCH “CADILLAC FLY AND DRIVE” FOR SUMMER 2017

CADILLAC PARTNERS WITH BLADE TO LAUNCH “CADILLAC FLY AND DRIVE” FOR SUMMER 2017

CADILLAC OFFERS COMPLIMENTARY HELICOPTER FLIGHTS TO THE HAMPTONS AND A CADILLAC XT5 TO USE FOR THE WEEKEND

Cadillac has teamed up with BLADE, the first digitally powered short distance aviation company that provides quick flights to the most in-demand destinations, to launch the “Cadillac Fly and Drive” program.

From July 7, 2017 to August 25, 2017, summer Friday commutes from Manhattan to the Hamptons will be more convenient and enjoyable (courtesy of Cadillac) for the eight New Yorkers who are lucky enough to reserve a seat on the helicopter each week.

The “Cadillac Fly and Drive” complimentary flight will post at random each week. Users will need to stay tuned on the BLADE app, refreshing often, for a chance to secure a seat on the crowdsourced flight. Flights will depart on Friday evenings from one of two BLADE Lounges located at the East 34th Heliport or the West 30th Street Heliport. Upon arrival to East Hampton, the first six flyers to book will also have the chance to enjoy a complimentary Cadillac XT5 to use for the weekend.

“Cadillac prides itself on collaborating with like-minded brands to curate unique and memorable experiences,” says Nathan Tan, director of Brand Partnerships and Experiences at Global Cadillac. “Our partnership with BLADE reflects how our two brands are working together to evolve how customers travel.”

All passengers on BLADE’s regularly scheduled flights are covered under the Weather Guarantee. In the event of bad weather that results in canceled flights, chauffeur-driven Cadillacs will be provided as transportation. This guarantee is only valid between Memorial Day and Labor Day on eastbound Thursday and Friday flights.

“We can’t think of a better way for our fliers to start their weekend right than to arrive at their Hamptons destination on BLADE and to then be handed the keys to a Cadillac XT5 for the weekend,” says BLADE founder and CEO Rob Wiesenthal. “Over the past two years, BLADE fliers have grown to rely on Cadillac as our All-Weather Guarantee partner. In the event of weather-related flight cancellations, Cadillac transports BLADE fliers to their destination. No other company offers this level of convenience. We look forward to the expansion of this important partnership.”
