This decision is perfectly in line with PEUGEOT’s strategy.

PEUGEOT 208 is a great fit for this action-packed, TV-friendly competition, which offers an international stage where Peugeot Sport can showcase its expertise.

The WRX’s global ambitions are also in line with PEUGEOT’s plan to boost sales outside Europe.

The championship currently features 12 rounds on three continents, and Peugeot Sport is working closely with the promoter IMG to add rounds on the two remaining continents. The 2018 schedule will be announced soon.

Peugeot has been involved in the WRX since its launch in 2014 and is committed to supporting the E-WRX through its technological plan, which aims to make 80% of its models electric by 2023.

Sébastien Loeb is racing for Peugeot Sport again this year in a championship where the action is really starting to heat up—the competition has never been more intense!

Jean-Philippe Imparato: “The brand wants to take on a new challenge to help promote its own energy transition and create stronger connections with new clients and the younger generation. The E-WRX is a perfect fit for the strategy. Our ambassador, Sébastien Loeb, will play a key role in this exciting new adventure. Our objective for the 2018 season is to take home the title. That’s why we’re strengthening Peugeot Sport’s commitments and studying the sports management overseen by the Hansen family since 2014.”

Sébastien Loeb: “This is a great opportunity for me to try something new and ‘electrifying’, and to get even closer to my fans with the WRX. I’m really looking forward to discovering this new frontier for sports.”

Two Red Dot Product Design 2017 Awards for PEUGEOT

Two Red Dot Product Design 2017 Awards for PEUGEOT

The Red Dot Product Design Awards Gala was held this year on 3 July in Essen (Germany). PEUGEOT won two awards for its innovative achievements – including the exterior and interior design of the new SUV PEUGEOT 3008. A new solution to the challenges of urban mobility, the electrically-assisted e-Kick scooter, developed in conjunction with MICRO, was also acknowledged. The Red Dot Product Design Awards are a benchmark in the world of design. Winners are selected by a jury of 39 experts.

The new PEUGEOT 3008 and the e-Kick electric scooter, which can be charged in its boot, are a winning combination. The jury was impressed by the degree of innovation in these vehicles, their ergonomic design and the quality of their finish.

Two Red Dot Product Design 2017 Awards for PEUGEOT

The new SUV PEUGEOT 3008 stood out as much for its exterior design as for its interior design. The state-of-the-art PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® gives new meaning to being in the driver’s seat. The compact steering wheel, the customisable “heads-up” display and the touch screen with intuitive piano-key switches all contribute to an enhanced driving experience. More than 150,000 customers have ordered the new PEUGEOT 3008 since it was launched in Europe. The majority of these (83%) have requested the Allure, GT Line or GT features.

The electrically-assisted e-Kick scooter can travel the final few kilometres of a trip into the city, once the vehicle is parked. It folds up in seconds thanks to its innovative handlebar, enabling “multi-modal” travel. The e-Kick has been on the European market since November 2016. It is available for €899 (incl. taxes) from PEUGEOT outlets, certain MICRO outlets and from the PEUGEOT Lifestyle and MICRO online shops.

Two Red Dot Product Design 2017 Awards for PEUGEOT

This is the fourth time that the Peugeot brand has received the Red Dot Product Design Award. The new PEUGEOT 3008 follows in the footsteps of the successful Traveller (2016), 308 SW (2014) and RCZ (2010) vehicles. This award brings the trophy haul of the new PEUGEOT 3008 to 27 trophies, including the prestigious Car of the Year 2017. It represents the first prestigious accolade for the e-Kick.

The new PEUGEOT 3008 will be on display on July 3rd and the e-Kick will attend the “Design on stage” show from 4 July to 6 August at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany. In April, 39 international experts, designers, architects and lecturers chose the best achievements of the year from among 5,500 projects, hailing from 54 countries. The Red Dot Product Design Award is an international prize awarded annually since 1955.

All-new Peugeot Suv Is The Best Mid-size Suv

All-new Peugeot Suv Is The Best Mid-size Suv

All-new Peugeot Suv Is The Best Mid-size Suv

Announcing the results of its 2017 Awards, Auto Express named the Peugeot 3008 SUV the winner of the much fought-over ‘Mid-Size SUV’ category, beating all of its competitors including models such as the SEAT Ateca and Mazda CX-5.

It’s the latest high profile victory for the All-new Peugeot 3008 SUV, which has already been voted European Car of the Year 2017 and has been a huge success with more than 10,000 sold in the UK since January.

Judges had lots to praise about the All-new Peugeot 3008 SUV, but singled out its premium design, both inside and out, ‘upmarket feel’ and features such as the state of the art PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® interior layout, which offers a more intuitive and engaging driving experience, with a compact multi-function steering wheel, 12.3” head-up digital instrument display and 8.0” capacitive touchscreen with Mirror Screen® functionality comprising, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay™ and Mirror Link®.

Plaudits were also given to the All-new Peugeot 3008’s range of efficient engines such as the 1.2L PureTech 130 Stop&Start. With its combination of CO2 emissions of 117g/km, fuel economy of 55.4mpg combined and strong performance, Auto Express described it as ‘one of the best engines around’ and one that offers exceptional refinement, ‘the 3008’s strongest trait’. It was this unbeatable blend which gave the All-new Peugeot 3008 SUV its victory.

It was a case of double SUV honours with a commendation for the Peugeot 2008 in the ‘Small SUV’ class too. Judges loved its mix of premium design, low running costs and an efficient engine range. Peugeot’s innovation was also applauded, with technology such as Grip Control® – an adapted traction control system – highly praised. Auto Express loved the fact that Grip Control® gives the 2008 SUV the ability to ‘handle off-roading without needing a heavy 4×4 system’.

And because the 2008 is available with features such as reversing camera, Active City Brake and Park Assist, Auto Express also praised its high equipment levels. Rear-view cameras can be a useful addition, helping you maneuver a big car like the Peugeot with much less trouble. Fitting the SUV into those tight parking spaces could be a lot more troublesome without it!

Similarly the Peugeot Expert scooped a commendation in the ‘Van of the Year’ category, with judges rating its ‘car-like’ driving experience, highly efficient engine line-up and flexibility, thanks to multiple wheelbases, body lengths and crew or platform-cab configurations.

Graham Hope, Editor at Auto Express, commented: “The 3008’s win in the Best Mid-Size category and the 2008’s commendation in the Small SUV class show how Peugeot has a clear understanding of SUVs and knows exactly what customers want. These are hugely impressive results in two of the most competitive and important sectors. Factor in the Expert’s commendation in Van of the Year and it’s immediately obvious that Peugeot is ticking all the boxes for its commercial vehicle customers too.”

David Peel, Managing Director at Peugeot UK, said: “Winning the Auto Express award of Best Mid-Size SUV is an exceptional achievement for the All-new Peugeot 3008. In such a fiercely competitive sector, for Auto Express to say that the 3008 is the best mid-size SUV you can buy is just incredible. We are proud of Peugeot’s talented team of designers and engineers – they set out to build and beat the best and that is exactly what they have done.

“We will very happily add this prize to the 3008’s already growing trophy cabinet which includes 2017 European Car of the Year, Car Buyer ‘Car of the Year’, Diesel Car ‘Car of the Year’ awards, as well as What Car? ‘Technology award’ for the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® – all victories from just six months on sale. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings. Finally, I would like to thank Auto Express for the commendations for the Peugeot 2008 SUV and Expert which prove once again that we are a multi-talented brand.”

Introducing The New Peugeot 308

INTRODUCING THE NEW PEUGEOT 308

INTRODUCING THE NEW PEUGEOT 308

The new Peugeot 308, due to hit UK roads in September, is the most connected and safest yet with a range of technology and styling enhancements for the 2018 model year.

In a class driven by connectivity, new Peugeot 308 customers benefit from a 9.7” capacitive touchscreen which puts the key functions of the interior safely at the fingertips of the driver. From dual zone climate control to 3D Connected Navigation with TomTom Live updates.
The new infotainment system incorporates Mirror Screen®, comprising Mirrorlink®, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto functionality, allowing the seamless integration of smartphone functions with the interface, ensuring drivers safely access functions as required.

Driving aids make new Peugeot 308 one of the safest cars in its class

Benefitting from all of the driving aids of the globally acclaimed all-new Peugeot 3008 SUV, Peugeot’s new family hatchback and new 308 SW now offer intelligent Speed Limit Recognition, Adaptive Cruise Control, with stop functionality and an Active Blind Spot Monitoring System.

Peugeot’s Speed Limit Recognition offers a new level of intelligence. A windscreen-located camera reads speed limit signs and displays them on the car’s dashboard. Signs for specific vehicles, such as HGVs, are filtered from the information feed.

The option of Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop function detects vehicles in front of the car and adjusts the speed automatically using the brakes to retain a safe distance. An Active Blind Spot Monitoring System also alerts the driver to the presence of another vehicle in the blind spot to avoid any potential danger. City Park, a smart park assist system completes the safety and convenience offering.

New Euro 6 compliant petrol and diesel engines

Under the bonnet, the new Peugeot 308 offers a new range of engines which are all compliant with strict Euro 6 regulations. The award winning three-cylinder PureTech petrol engine has been upgraded for the new model year, and is coupled with a new six-speed manual gearbox for improved efficiency and control. At-exhaust emission controls on the engine are designed for efficient pollution reduction; high-precision injection control on the 1.2L PureTech 130 Stop&Start engine enhances combustion efficiency: exhaust gases pass through a catalytic converter followed by a passive-regeneration particle filter.

The new Peugeot 308 is also the first PSA Group model to adopt the new 1.5L BlueHDi 130 S&S diesel engine, a four-cylinder unit that also implements at-source and at-exhaust emission control. Tested under competition conditions at the 24-hour Le Mans event, the engine also adds an SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) pollution control system.

The new eight-speed automatic transmission coupled with the 2.0L BlueHDi 180 Stop&Start completes the new engine range, while the new Peugeot 308 GTi by Peugeot Sport is powered by a 270 PS THP Stop&Start unit, enabling 0-62 mph in just 6.0 seconds with CO2 emissions of just 139g/km.

Enhanced exterior and interior trim

On the inside, new seat fabrics for Active and Allure trims enhance the comfortable interior, and all new 308 models benefit from the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® layout with its trademark compact steering wheel. On the inside the cabin is further enhanced with the inclusion of a panoramic fixed cielo glass roof on Allure, GT Line and GT versions.

Externally, the Peugeot trademark styling details have been revised for a sharper look. The distinctive rear ‘Claw Effect’ lights are now standard, while the front and rear bumpers and headlights have been re-shaped to echo the family look of the all-new Peugeot 3008 SUV.

Drivers looking to make a real design statement can now specify the new Peugeot 308 GTi by Peugeot Sport in two-tone Coupe Franche in Magnetic Blue and Black Perla Nera.

David Peel, Managing Director at Peugeot UK commented: “The new Peugeot 308 is now more competitive than ever. The new car adds to an already impressive technology offering, while new styling and interior options bolster the car’s kerbside appeal and bring it in line with the new Peugeot SUV family”.

“Peugeot’s commitment to developing class-leading engine technology is also highlighted by the presence of the new versions of the award-winning PureTech and BlueHDi engines. The blend of performance and economy finishes a unique package for the keen driver.”
